New Pinkfresh Studio “Let Your Heart Decide” Collection – Blog Hop

Pinkfresh Studio "Let Your Heart Decide" BlogHop // #scrapbooking #layout

Hey there and welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio “Let Your Heart Decide” Blog Hop!! Isn’t this time of the year just the best? All the new collections have been released and start showing up in stores everywhere, yayy đŸ™‚

And let me tell you: the new Pinkfresh Studio collections are even better than the ones before (not sure how that’s possible, but it is)! For this blog hop we start with my personal favourite of the four new lines: “Let Your Heart Decide”. I absolutely love the fresh, bright colour scheme, the floral elements and all the different kinds of embellishments!

For my layout for this blog hop I was actually inspired by all of the floral elements and wanted to make a big statement piece featuring some flowers. This cut file from my design team colleague Bea Valint was absolutely perfect for that (when you stop by her blog on this hop, be sure to check out all the gorgeous free cut files she has!). I chose some of the yellow and red patterned papers (and green for the leaves) in the 6″x6″ paper pad to back the cutfile and also added a border using one of the 12″x12″ papers.

As you can see, I kept the embellishing to a minimum. I didn’t feel like this page needed a lot more since the cut file was already so prominent on the page. So I chose some of the floral elements and leaves from the different embellishment packages: on the “L” I used a leatherette sticker for example, the red and yellow flowers I tucked in on the right side and below the cut file are from the ephemera package, and the leaves on the left of my photo are from the puffy sticker sheet. I love mixing different textures on my pages, so I really like that some of the elements of the collection are repeated within the different embellishments.

I also like to add lots of dimension to my layouts. In the detail shot below you can really see the dimension I achieved by popping the individual layers up with foam adhesive. I just love how that looks and the shadows it creates around the cut file – this makes it stand out even more.

I can’t wait to play some more with the new collections! So far I only had enough time to make another layout with the “A Case of the Blahs” collection, but I really want to dive in to them all as soon as I can đŸ™‚ I also filmed a process video for this page but unfortunately haven’t gotten around to editing it yet :-/ But I will definitely upload it to my YouTube channel as soon as I have đŸ™‚ In the meantime, you can also check out some of the videos I have up so far (a mix of process videos, flip throughs, layout shares…)

Now I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Design Team has created! I already saw some of the sneaks and they all looked stunning!

Make sure to stop by all of the blogs on the hop and leave a comment on each to be entered to win a “Let Your Heart Decide” price package!! Comments will close at 11.59pm CST on Thursday February 1st 2018 and the winners will be randomly selected and announced on the Pinkfresh Studio blog. Good luck everyone! đŸ™‚

Kathleen, love the big LOVE title and how you nestled the photo right into the bouquet of flowers. Also love that the photo is black and white which helps the embellishments pop!!
