    Girly & Elegant: Some Cards with the New [Fancy Pants] “Millie & June” Collection.

    Hallo ihr Lieben! Wie schon vor ein paar Tagen auf Instagram versprochen, zeige ich euch nun die ersten Werke, die ich mit der wunderschönen neuen “Millie & June” Kollektion von Fancy Pants gemacht habe, und die nun bei der Scrapbook Werkstatt erhältlich ist 🙂

    Wie ihr vielleicht schon mitbekommen habt, mache ich mittlerweile wirklich gerne Karten – am liebsten gleich mindestens 3-5 mit einer Kollektion bzw. einem Kit, sodass diese dann ein schön zusammenpassendes Set ergeben. So dann auch bei dieser Kollektion, wo es dieses Mal (bisher) vier Karten geworden sind.

    Was ich an dieser Kollektion ganz besonders liebe, sind die Farben! Die Kombi aus mint, gold, apricot und weiß fand ich ja schon immer toll, aber dazu nun noch das kräftige Pink und Dunkelblau, das ist echt mal was anderes. Und ich find’s super <3 Sonst findet sich dunkelblau nicht sooo oft auf meinen Projekten (vor allem nicht mit diesen Farben zusammen), sodass das echt mal eine frische Abwechslung war!

    Für die Karten habe ich gar nicht viel Material gebraucht. Das Praktische ist, dass im Collection Pack alle 6 gemusterten Papiere je 2x drin sind, plus einen mintfarbenen und einen schwarzen Wellkarton, ein goldenes Papier sowie die geblümten Puffy Alphas und die Puffy Sticker. Die Papiere und Sticker kann man zwar auch alle einzeln kaufen, aber so hat man einfach direkt alles zusammen (und dazu noch die drei Spezialpapiere) und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top! Ich habe mir sonst nur noch das Paper Bow Set dazu gekauft (wobei ich auch schon um die Buttons, das Herzchen-Washi und das Ephemera-Pack rumschleiche 😀 ) und finde, dass es das beste Teil aus der gesamten Kollektion ist!! Merkt man vielleicht auch, wenn man sich meine Karten anschaut: auf 3 von 4 findet ihr die wunderschönen Schleifchen (und auf den Layouts, die ich euch demnächst noch zeige, ebenso). In dem Paper Bow Set sind fünf verschiedene Bögen mit vorgestanzten Schleifenteilen drin. Pro Bogen kann man 6 Schleifen (also insg. 30) in drei verschiedenen Größen machen und es geht superschnell und einfach! Man braucht keinen Schneideplotter oder Stanzmaschine dafür; einfach die Teile raustrennen und zusammenkleben: fertig. Wenn man will, kann man auch verschiedene Farben bzw. Muster mischen – das werde ich auf jeden Fall auch noch ausprobieren 🙂

    Die drei verschiedenen Schleifengrößen könnt ihr hier gut erkennen: von links nach rechts sind beginnend mit der größten alle drei Größen vertreten. Ich find’ sie ja einfach zauberhaft! Was meint ihr? ..ich hoffe wirklich, dass es das noch für viel mehr Kollektionen geben wird!

    In den nächsten ein, zwei Wochen werde ich euch die restlichen Projekte zeigen, die ich mit der Kollektion gemacht habe – ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, von der wird am Ende nicht mehr viel übrig sein 🙂 Wie findet ihr sie denn? Die Kombination aus mädchenhaft und elegant mit ein paar “maskulinen” Elementen wie dem Dunkelblau & Schwarz ?

    Hey there! 🙂 As I’ve already promised on Instagram a few days ago, today I’m sharing my first projects that I’ve made with the pretty new “Millie & June” collection by Fancy Pants, which is now available at the Scrapbook Werkstatt shop.

    As you might have noticed, I have grown really fond of making cards. I usually make at least 3-5 cards with the same collection/kit so that I end up with a pretty coordinating set of cards. This time, I made 4 of them (so far – I’m sure there will be more)

    What I really, really love about this collection are the colours! I’ve always loved the combination of mint, peach, white and gold, and now these colours are accompanied by some hot pink and a navy blue and it looks fabulous! I don’t often use navy blue on my projects (especially not in this combination), so this was a welcome breath of fresh air. I also like that the collection pack already includes all of the 6 patterned papers (2 of each), plus 2 corrugated cardstocks (in mint & black), a golden paper, as well as the patterned puffy alphas and the puffy design stickers. That way you already get what you really need. I also got myself the paper bow set and I am completely in love with it (evidenced by the fact that 3 of the 4 cards shown here include one of those paper bows) – it’s my absolute favourite piece of the whole collection!

    The paper bow set includes 5 sheets of pre-cut bows (6 bows of each design, so 30 bows in total) that come in 3 different sizes. You can see all the 3 sizes in the first and third photo (largest to smallest from left to right). I love that they are so easy to make! You don’t need a Silhouette or BigShot or any kind of machine but you still get the same look! Honestly, I’m really loving them – I might need to get a second package 😀

    [SBW Bloghop] Alles neu macht der Mai – Inspiration mit Moodboard.

    Hallo und willkommen zum Bloghop der Scrapbook Werkstatt! 🙂 Wenn ihr von Anfang an durchgehüpft seid, müsstet ihr jetzt von Sandra zu mir gekommen sein.

    Genau wie im letzten Jahr (siehe hier) haben wir uns auch dieses Mal ein Moodboard zusammen gestellt das als Inspiration für uns (und natürlich auch euch!) dienen sollte. Oh, und psst: Unter allen Teilnehmern, die bis zum 08. Mai 2016 mitmachen, verlost die Scrapbook Werkstatt einen Einkaufsgutschein im Wert von sagenhaften 20 €.     Ich muss sagen, ich bin total verknallt in die Farben dieses Moodboards (okay, ich bin vielleicht auch etwas voreingenommen, schließlich habe ich es zusammengestellt 😀 – Ich hoffe euch gefällt es auch!). Und hätte ich umzugsbedingt nicht so wenig Zeit gehabt, hätte ich definitiv mehr als nur ein Layout bzw. Projekt damit gemacht! Sobald hier allerdings wieder ein bisschen Normalität und Ordnung eingekehrt ist, werde ich mir das Moodboard definitiv noch mal vornehmen 🙂

    Hier nun aber mein Layout:

    Leider kann man es auf dem Foto nur schlecht erkennen, aber unter dem “Paradise” Schriftzug ist so ein netzartiger Tüllstoff – die Zuckerwatte vom Moodboard hat mich dazu inspiriert dieses Stoffstückchen nun endlich mal zu nutzen. Auch sonst finden sich einige Elemente aus dem Moodboard auf meinem Layout wieder: ein schräg gestreifter mint-weißer Streifen Washi, die Pünktchen/Kleckse, die abstrakten Muster und natürlich insgesamt die Farben 🙂

    Für dieses Projekt habe ich auch einfach mal durch meinen ganzen Fundus gewühlt und mir immer hier und da etwas rausgepickt, was zu dem Moodboard gepasst hat. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht mal nicht nur mit einer bestimmten Kollektion zu arbeiten, sondern einfach alles wild durcheinander zu würfeln 🙂 Es sind Sachen aus der Goldie Kollektion von 7Paper dabei, die Thickers sind aus einer Amy Tangerine Serie, das Korkherzchen ist aus der C’est la vie Kollektion von Pink Paislee, usw.

    Spring Fever with Crate Paper’s Bloom and the [SBW March Kit].

    I’ve already shown quite a few sneaks and also full projects that I’ve made with the Scrapbook Werkstatt March kits on Instagram but nevertheless I wanted to share them all here in one place so you can ooh and aah at all the pretty pieces that are included in the kit “Glitzerblume” (glitter flower – which fits the kit very well since it is full of florals and lots of gold & glitter!!). However, because I’ve made quite a lot of projects with this kit, I’m going to split them into to blog posts. Today I will share my three top favourite ones!

    Although the weather around here is still really cold and feels more like winter than spring, working with the kit put me in the mood for spring! The papers and embellishments are all really fresh and have a light and airy feel to them. And with all of the florals in the kit it is impossible not to get spring fever 😉

    This first layout definitely was the easiest and quickest one that I’ve made with the kit BUT it is also my most favourite of them all! It’s the first time that I’ve tried a big (or rather huge) photo layout and I must say, I love it! You just don’t have to add much more to the page to make it special. That’s why I only added the title, some stamped phrases (made with stamps from a Gossamer Blue stamp set) enamel dots and the fringed paper strips.

    For the ombré fringe I used the Moments paper from Maggie Holmes’ “Bloom” collection (Crate Paper). I started at the bottom of the paper and cut off four strips of paper. Then I cut into those strips from the bottom, but I didn’t cut completely through them – only so much that I could pull up the small strips to create the fringe.

    To finish it off the LO I just added this beautiful big “create” glitter die cut word from this Pebbles Inc. package. Yes, there are six different gorgeous glitter words in that one package and I have already used most of them 😀 Like on this next layout:

    For this layout I used almost no patterned paper, except for the border at the top of the page. I wanted those beautiful flower die cuts from the Bloom ephemera package to be the center of the page so I only added the glitter word and that pretty gold glitter tag. Beneath the glitter tag I layered a second one where I could add some journaling.

    And last but not least the third layout in my top three favourite ones for the Scrapbook Werkstatt March kit. And this one features lots of elements from the first two layouts: a fringe border, lots of florals and some gold glitter, because you can never have enough of that! 🙂

    I must admit that the floral pattern on this page might be my favourite floral patterned paper ever!! Unfortunately (for me), it’s not a whole sheet of paper but only a small card on this Fresh patterned paper from the Bloom collection. So, Crate Paper: could you make this pattern into a whole sheet, pretty please?? I will buy lots of it, I promise! 😀

    Alright, so that’s it for the first batch of layouts made with the SBW March kit. I have to say that I am really happy about each one of them – they turned out exactly like I imagined, maybe even better!

    I’m curious though: which of those three is your favourite layout, and why? 🙂

    A Good Mix of “Shine” to Start the New Year: a Card, a Layout and a Mini-Album!

    I thought I would kick off the new year with some more “Shine” projects. The gray and rainy weather outside is kinda depressing so here’s a little bit of colour to brighten your day!

    I made this layout for the monthly sketch challenge in the Scrapbook Werkstatt Sketch Section. The sketch this time came from the lovely Ulli.     A Blank but Bright 6 Year Anniversary Mini Album with the [Crate Paper “Shine] Collection.

    Hey guys 🙂 So, as promised, here is (one of) the mini albums I made with the Crate Paper “Shine” collection. Right now it’s still only the basis of the album, so all the photos and the journaling are still missing, but I just didn’t have enough time to select the photos I want for this album and get them all printed. I’ll do that when I get back home from my parents after Christmas. I really hate the photo sorting and printing process.. If it weren’t for that, I’d probably have much more finished mini albums!

    But anyway, I still wanted to show you the mini album as it is right now. When I started making mini albums, I always had to have my photos printed so I could start. I just couldn’t imagine putting together the mini album pages without knowing what photos I had or what I wanted to say. Now I enjoy the process of putting together the mini album basis so much that I can’t wait until I have all the photos ready 😀

    There are A LOT of photos, so be warned 😉 ..at the end of all the photos you will also find a gif with a flip through the whole album. So if you are a bit impatient, you can of course just scroll down to see the gif – no hard feelings 😉

    (Because there are still no photos or journaling in the album, it is quite straightforward so I won’t talk about any of the pages in particular)

    Let it Shine with the New Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper Collection “Shine” – [A Layout & Seven Cards].

    Hey there! 🙂 Are you enjoying the holiday time or are you already going slightly mad now that there are only 4 days left until Christmas? I’m still in denial that Christmas is so close because I don’t feel the holiday spirit at all. The temperatures and the weather feel more like fall or late summer at times.. And as much as I normally like the warmer, more Mediterranean temperatures, I prefer low temperatures and snow at Christmas time. But that isn’t going to happen this year.. Today we have 14°C (or 57°F) which is just surreal..
    I’ve tried so many things to get into the holiday spirit (playing Christmas music, lighting candles, trimming the tree, putting up Christmas decoration, etc etc) but nothing has really worked so far.

    Anyway, at least this means that the bright and colourful “Shine” collection by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper doesn’t seem out of place at all right now. Which is good, because in only two days I’ve made a layout, seven cards and two mini albums with it and I wanted to show you the first part of that today 🙂

    Hello Autumn with the [Scrapbook Werkstatt] October Kit – Three Barcelona-Themed Layouts.

    If you’ve followed my blog or my scrapbooking endeavours for a while now, you’ll know that one of my favourite topics for my projects is Barcelona. When I got to work with the Scrapbook Werkstatt October kit it was no different – of the five layouts I made with the kit, three are about Barcelona 😀 ..and that’s what I’ll show you today 🙂

    HOW?
    For this LO I used some patterned paper strips as a frame for my white cardstock (that I cut down so that the finished layout would be 12×12″ again). In order not to make it too heavy, I only used the border on two of the edges.

    WHAT?
    The photo was taken in January at the Palo Alto Market in Barcelona. I made another LO with a photo from that market with the Gossamer Blue September kits, so you can read a bit more about the market here. Read more

    A Mini Album Tutorial with Pebbles DIY Home for [Scrapbook Werkstatt].Hallo ihr Lieben, ich wollte euch nur Bescheid geben, dass ich eine kleine “Anleitung” für einen Mini Album Rohling als Geschenkidee in der Scrapbook Werkstatt Mini Album Werkstatt für euch habe. Natürlich lassen sich die Ideen aber auch auf “normale” Minis anwenden, die ihr für euch selbst gestalten wollt! Also, schaut doch mal hier vorbei – ich würde mich über Feedback freuen! 🙂
    Auf dem Bild unten könnt ihr schon mal einen ersten Eindruck gewinnen 🙂

    Hey there! I just wanted to let you know that I have a little “how to” blogpost for you on the Scrapbook Werkstatt homepage. The text is only in German there but you could use a translator tool or at least have a look at the photos I’m sharing (which are A LOT :D).     Scrapbook Werkstatt October Kit Sneaks

    Until I can finally share my full projects with you that I made with the Scrapbook Werkstatt October Kit, I wanted to give you some sneaks of the layouts I made – I seriously can’t wait to share them in full, I am quite excited about those projects 😉

    The October Kit is absolutely gorgeous – the colours are perfect to get into the autumn-mood (but without the too bright and bold pumpkin orange for example 😉 ) and it also includes lots of Pink Paislee “Cedar Lane” bits and pieces (I can tell you that much ;)). The Cedar Lane collection might be my favourite autumn themed line ever!
