December Daily mini album 2019/2020

Wow, long time no see, right?! A lot has happened since I last shared something on here (had a baby, moved apartment, … 😄) so I thought it was time to dust off this blog!

December Daily

combining two years

In February this year I finally got around to finishing my December Daily 2019/2020 album and I’m very happy with how it turned out. And yes, you read that right: I combined two years in one album. My problem essentially was that for 2019 I didn’t have enough photos, but those that I did have, I really wanted to include in an album. And for 2020 it was almost the same issue (with a pandemic and a new baby there just wasn’t that much to document).

So I finally decided to just combine the photos in one album. Besides, I thought it might be fun to see what the holiday season looked like without and then with a baby.

The kit

For this album I mostly used a kit that I put together myself. It was originally intended for a workshop that I was supposed to teach on Mallorca, but unfortunately the workshop had to be canceled; instead I sold the kits that I had left. So if you happen to have bought one of them (thank you!), I hope you had fun creating with it & maybe you can find some inspiration here!

By the way, this year I will have a kit for a December album for sale again. But this time it will also be accompanied by a video workshop, yay! 🎄

I love to mix and match different collections and manufacturers, and this album is no exception. There’s a lot of Crate Paper* products included, but also some papers by Alexandra Renke, Studio Forty and Felicity Jane. I also tried to use up as much of my Christmas stash (which isn’t big) as I could.

page & photo sizes

The album measures 4″x8″ and it was a lot of fun to try a different format for this project! The size of the pages was also perfect to use up a 6″x8″ paper pad I had. It’s also a great size for full page photos (which I always love to include!) like the one on the left in the photo above.

In general, I mixed a lot of different photo sizes. From really small (like 1″x2″) to those 4″x8″ ones and everything in between. That’s why I love my Canon photo printer (not sponsored, just my opinion) because it allows me to print whatever size I need and the quality is really good, too.

If you have any questions about photo printing or want to know more about this album or the products I used, leave me a comment and I will get back to you.

I don’t want to bore you with too much text ;). And if you’d like to see (and hear) more about it, you can check out the walkthrough video below:

And if you don’t want to hear me blab about it (no hard feelings 😉 ), you can also watch the no-talking flipthrough video here:

In any case, I hope you find some inspiration! And I would love to hear from you if you have shared a finished December Daily album somewhere. I’m about to start working on preparing this year’s album, so it would be great to get into the spirit of Christmas 😉

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
