Happy Easter everyone! 🙂
I just wanted to quickly share these cuties that I made using the Felicity Jane Henley kit (and parts of the Zoey kit, as well) and my Silhouette Portrait. Every now and then I really love doing non-scrapbooky projects like these – especially for holidays like Christmas, Halloween and now Easter 🙂
All of these items were super easy to make. I used a cutfile from the Silhouette Design Store for each of them*, so all I had to do was assemble the pieces and adhere what had to be adhered 😉 Almost all of those things could however also easily be done without an electronic cutting machine (I was just being lazy and wanted to give my machine a little workout, haha). All you need for the Easter egg garland, for example, is three pieces of paper in an egg shape (or you can use any shape you like). Then you only have to stitch them down in the middle using your sewing machine and repeat the process a few times until you have a small garland.
*ID of cutfiles I used: 188638 (flower bowl), 124445 (easter egg shaped basket), 57620 (3D egg, for garland), 58547 (bunny treat bag), 39682 (treat box)
For the little square treat box I used this cutfile, backed the open egg shape on the lid with a transparency and then filled the box with treats and that white crinkly paper the Felicity Jane kits are packaged in.
I also used that crinkled paper to fill the flower bowl and the cute little basket so that the treats I put in would peek out at the top. I really love the look of it and think it looks so much better than that fake green grass you can get in supermarkets. And of course, being able to repurpose packaging is another bonus!
Probably the cutest piece of them all, however, is that Easter bunny. I absolutely love it! I used this cutfile and some solid coloured paper (I was able to use some, yayy!! I almost never do, so when I finally get a chance to use some, that’s super awesome!). The bunny holds a Kinder Surprise – I used a small glue dot to keep it in place so it wouldn’t roll out to the side.
I am really, really happy with how these turned out! I mailed all those pieces (apart from the Easter egg garland) off to a friend and hope that it will arrive soon. Unfortunately it seems it won’t arrive in time for Easter Sunday/Monday but I hope it will make it soon.
I hope you like these projects!
What about you, did you craft anything for Easter?
